We are happy to bring you the first designs in a new series called "Grandma and Me." These designs were created with the idea of introducing a young one to the art of stitching.
Based upon letters of the alphabet, stitch one and frame, or stitch several and create an alphabet sampler book! Recommended for children 6 and older, and an adult of any age!
These designs are stitched on 7 mesh plastic canvas which I chose in order to make it easier for a young one to handle. Perle cotton threads, overdyed and plain, were used throughout each piece. Each finished stitching measures approximately 6 1/8"w X 4 5/8"h.
The stitches used are full cross, and half cross (background). In some patterns, a few backstitches are used for accents and outlining.
Each package includes both the canvas and needle.
